5 Hours of Community Service
Community Service Hours For my community service hours I decided to help out with our local Girls Inc. Our Girls Inc building is currently underfunded and understaffed and could use some major repairs. A group of peers and myself from my church spent the majority of a day at our Girls Inc in Kingsport doing minor repairs to the building. Some groups helped touch up the paint in the gym, others helped hang a new curtain for the stage. My girlfriend and I repainted the adult bathroom floors. We had to sweep and clean the floors and then we were able to repaint them with an oil based coating that will last for a long time. The paint was hard to use at first but once we got to spreading it around it went quick! On top of cleaning and repainting the floors we also helped clean and sweep around the building to make it cleaner for the girls and staff to use!
